Software Engineer – Autonomous Driving AI (Israel) at Qualcomm

Our Global Automotive team in Israel is actively seeking bright and innovative Software Engineers. You’ll join us in the autonomous car revolution by developing complex software for perception, planning, and prediction Neural Networks (NNs) on the Snapdragon Ride Platform. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong communication and teamwork.


What You’ll Do:

  • Work with customers at the start of projects to design solutions meeting system needs on Qualcomm’s AI chipset.
  • Collaborate with Qualcomm AI teams and customers to resolve issues in architecture, implementation, integration, performance, or safety.
  • Design integration and testing strategies for CI/CD.
  • Take responsibility for designing and implementing software for NN performance and accuracy regression.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in academia or industry.
  • You should be very independent and a fast learner.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++/Python, and experience debugging complex embedded software.
  • Knowledge and experience with Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, partners, and customers across different locations and tech areas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew and English.

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Object Detection Neural Networks (OD NNs).
  • Experience with PyTorch.
  • Understanding of performance impacts and NN quantization processes.
  • Working knowledge of Linux RT (Real-Time) operating systems.
  • Familiarity with SDKs and Frameworks for Vision Processing and NN acceleration (e.g., OpenCV, OpenCL, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Experience using industry-standard development tools (e.g., toolchains, IDEs, configuration management).
