With over 300 million active users and a mission to deliver engaging gaming experiences, Papaya is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead backend systems for generative AI integrations and AI-enhanced backend logic.

What You’ll Do
– Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, Redis, and MySQL
– Research and integrate generative AI tools and frameworks to enrich our platform
– Lead full-cycle development from requirement gathering and prototyping to deployment and monitoring
– Prototype AI copilots and create lean proofs-of-concept to validate ROI
– Operate production systems in cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes), ensuring reliability and scalability

Requirements
– 7+ years of backend development experience on high-performance systems
– Expert in Node.js and TypeScript (Python or Java experience is a plus)
– Proven track record of experimenting and integrating AI-driven solutions
– Hands-on experience with cloud architectures (AWS/Kubernetes)
– Comfortable in agile, fast-paced environments with strong communication and teamwork skills
