**AI Backend Engineer – Generative AI Platform**

**About the Role**
Join Monday.com’s newly formed AI R&D team to architect and scale the backend infrastructure powering generative AI capabilities for 2M+ users. You’ll build the foundational systems enabling LLM integration across our work OS platform while collaborating with data scientists and product teams to deliver AI-powered features.

**Key Responsibilities**

**AI Infrastructure Development**
– Design and implement scalable backend services for:
– LLM orchestration & fine-tuning
– AI feature integrations
– Developer-facing APIs
– Optimize systems for high-throughput AI workloads

**Platform Scaling**
– Evolve architecture to support:
– Enterprise-scale AI deployments
– Multi-tenant isolation
– Real-time data pipelines

**Cross-Functional Leadership**
– Partner with Data Science on model deployment
– Work with Product on AI capability roadmaps
– Mentor engineers on AI best practices

**Tech Stack Focus**
– Python, TypeScript, Node.js
– MySQL/PostgreSQL
– Microservices & event-driven architecture

**Qualifications**

**Required**
– 6+ years backend development at scale
– Expertise in:
– Distributed systems
– Database optimization
– API design
– Strong communication/collaboration skills

**Preferred**
– LLM/Generative AI experience
– ML model serving knowledge
– Event sourcing patterns
