KLA is a global leader in process control and semiconductor inspection, and we’re expanding our AI & Modeling Center of Excellence with an exceptional Algorithm Engineer in Tel Aviv. This position focuses on the design and deployment of cutting-edge generative AI and computer vision systems for high-resolution inspection and metrology platforms.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of AI scientists, researchers, and software engineers to build ML models that enhance our semiconductor inspection capabilities. You will explore the application of large vision models, generative approaches (e.g., GANs, diffusion), and transformer-based architectures to detect, classify, and interpret physical patterns at nanoscale precision.

Responsibilities:
– Develop SOTA algorithms for object detection, segmentation, anomaly detection, and generative modeling
– Design prompt-engineering techniques to improve inference accuracy
– Train deep learning models using proprietary datasets
– Integrate model outputs into real-time inspection systems with low-latency constraints
– Work closely with hardware and imaging teams to align model behavior with optical realities
– Conduct benchmarking, profiling, and A/B testing of models in production
– Publish findings internally and contribute to strategic IP development

Required Qualifications:
– PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with specialization in machine learning or computer vision
– 3+ years of experience building and deploying ML/CV/GenAI systems in industry or academia
– Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
– Familiarity with classical CV (OpenCV), along with modern transformer-based vision architectures
– Proven experience implementing ML pipelines from concept to deployment

At KLA, you’ll join one of the world’s most advanced technology teams in the semiconductor space. If you’re excited to apply generative AI to real-world, physics-driven challenges, and want to help shape the future of chip manufacturing, this is your opportunity.
