Gong - Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Cloud Microservices)

Gong is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Tel Aviv team, diving into complex technical challenges and crafting innovative solutions to revolutionize how companies understand customer interactions. This pivotal role is perfect for a Java professional eager to drive our backend development to new heights.

You will lead the design and implementation of backend services and APIs using Java technologies, ensuring optimal scalability, reliability, and performance. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and solving complex technical challenges across the stack, from architecture to implementation, and collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX designers, and Frontend Engineers to deliver features that meet user needs and business goals. You will take full ownership of features throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and maintenance.

We are looking for a candidate with 7+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale backend development, with a strong emphasis on Java programming. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and building scalable microservices architectures are essential. Advantageous experience includes infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and building data-oriented applications and APIs. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
