Gong - Lead Automation Infrastructure Engineer (Test Automation, CI/CD)

Gong is seeking a Lead Automation Infrastructure Engineer to establish and lead our test automation infrastructure and practices across the organization. This strategic and hands-on role in Tel Aviv offers a unique opportunity to design and evolve scalable frameworks, collaborate extensively across engineering functions, and empower teams to deliver quality quickly.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks and tools, aligning with our tech stack (Java, React, Cypress, Playwright). Key initiatives will include driving automation infrastructure, environment management, test data provisioning, and seamless CI/CD integration. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA, SREs, and DevOps to embed intelligent automation throughout the development lifecycle, and evaluate/introduce AI-based testing tools to enhance coverage and efficiency.

The role requires owning and managing test infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, and developing dashboards for tracking quality trends. We are looking for a candidate with 6+ years in test automation or infrastructure engineering, strong programming skills (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript preferred), and proven experience with modern frameworks like Cypress and Playwright. A solid background in CI/CD, AWS, and a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives are essential. Experience with AI-powered testing tools or establishing automation platforms from scratch is a significant advantage. This position operates under a flexible hybrid work model.
