Gong – AI Incubation Staff Engineer

Gong is looking for an AI Incubation Staff Engineer to help lead the creation of groundbreaking generative AI solutions. You’ll join the AI Incubation team tasked with rapidly validating and building next-generation NLP and LLM-powered applications that augment sales intelligence.

What You’ll Do:
– Build prototypes and MVPs using LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
– Conduct fast-paced experimentation to validate technical feasibility and business impact
– Collaborate with applied scientists, engineers, and product teams to shape product roadmap
– Stay up-to-date on the latest AI research and incorporate emerging methods into product

You Should Have:
– 7+ years in backend/data/ML engineering, including deep learning frameworks
– Strong background in Python and experience with cloud deployment
– Familiarity with transformer-based models, prompt tuning, fine-tuning, and vector search
– Entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to work in fast-paced environments
