Apple - Computer Vision Algorithm Student (Imaging & Sensing)
Job Summary
The Imaging & Sensing Technology Group (ISTG) is responsible for the cameras and other sensing technologies in Apple products. Our team is seeking a talented Computer Vision Algorithm Student to contribute to the development of cutting-edge computer vision algorithms. You will work on challenging problems related to image processing, 3D reconstruction, and machine learning, directly impacting future Apple products.
**Key Qualifications:**
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong fundamentals in computer vision, image processing, and algorithms.
* Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
* Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
* Strong mathematical background (linear algebra, probability, optimization).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
**Description:**
* As a Computer Vision Algorithm Student, you will be involved in various stages of algorithm development, from research and prototyping to implementation and optimization. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and evaluating computer vision algorithms for various applications.
* Implementing efficient code for real-time processing on embedded systems.
* Analyzing data and performing experiments to validate algorithm performance.
* Collaborating with a multi-functional team of engineers and researchers.
**Education & Experience:**
* Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program.
* Availability to work at least 20 hours per week.
**Additional Requirements:**
* Experience with camera systems or imaging pipelines is a plus.
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
