Amazon - Senior Data Scientist & Delivery Consultant (AWS Professional Services)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Delivery Consultant, Data Scientist, to join our team in Israel. In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex AI/ML projects for enterprise customers, ensuring successful outcomes and driving business value. You will combine your technical expertise with strong consulting skills to guide customers through their machine learning journey on AWS.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale machine learning projects for AWS customers, from problem definition to production deployment.
* Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing expert guidance on data science best practices, ML model development, and AWS AI/ML services.
* Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance machine learning solutions using various AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, EMR, Redshift, Glue).
* Conduct workshops, technical deep dives, and training sessions for customer teams.
* Collaborate closely with AWS sales, solution architects, and other Professional Services consultants.
* Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the development of internal best practices and intellectual property.
* Document solutions and provide knowledge transfer to customer teams for long-term success.
**Basic Qualifications:**
* 5+ years of experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer, with a focus on delivering complex projects.
* 3+ years of experience working with AWS AI/ML services (e.g., SageMaker, Comprehend, Rekognition).
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
* Expert proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and ML model development.
* Proven experience with various machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and MLOps practices.
* Strong consulting and client-facing skills, with experience managing stakeholder expectations.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Fluency in English and Hebrew.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
* Experience in a consulting or professional services role for enterprise customers.
* Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
* Publications or presentations at industry conferences.
* AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty).
