Amazon - Data Scientist (Professional Services)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services is looking for a talented and customer-focused Data Scientist to join our team in Israel. In this role, you will work with enterprise customers to design, build, and deploy custom machine learning solutions that address their unique business needs. You will be a trusted advisor, helping customers leverage the power of AWS AI/ML services to achieve their strategic objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Work directly with AWS customers to understand their business problems and translate them into data science solutions.
* Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end machine learning models and pipelines using AWS AI/ML services (e.g., SageMaker, Rekognition, Comprehend).
* Perform data collection, cleaning, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
* Provide technical guidance and best practices to customers on data science methodologies and AWS ML services.
* Collaborate with AWS account teams and other Professional Services consultants to ensure customer success.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AWS technologies.
**Basic Qualifications:**
* 3+ years of experience with data scripting languages (e.g. Python, R, SAS) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. MATLAB, Julia)
* 3+ years of experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or data mining techniques
* Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Experience with SQL and working with large datasets.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Fluency in English and Hebrew.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
* Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, SageMaker).
* Experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., consulting, professional services).
* Experience deploying machine learning models to production.
* Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
