Qodo.ai - Research Engineer

About The Position

Qodo.ai is seeking a talented and innovative Research Engineer to join our cutting-edge AI research team in Tel Aviv. In this role, you will bridge the gap between fundamental research and practical application, contributing to the development of novel AI algorithms and models that power our next-generation products.

You will be responsible for:

* Conducting research and developing advanced AI/ML algorithms, with a focus on areas like NLP, LLMs, and computer vision.

* Designing, implementing, and evaluating experimental prototypes and proof-of-concepts.

* Translating research findings into production-ready code and integrating them into our platform.

* Collaborating closely with research scientists, software engineers, and product managers.

* Staying informed about the latest advancements in AI research and contributing to the scientific community.

* Optimizing and fine-tuning AI models for performance and scalability.

* Contributing to the overall technical strategy and innovation of the company.

**Requirements:**
* 3+ years of experience in AI/ML research or engineering, with a strong publication record or significant project contributions.
* Strong theoretical and practical understanding of deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and/or computer vision.
* Expert proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
* Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their applications.
* Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
* Demonstrated ability for independent research, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
* Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.

**Bonus Points/Nice to Have:**
* Experience with MLOps practices and deploying AI models to production.
* Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
* Contributions to open-source AI projects.
