Qodo.ai - Backend Tech Lead

Qodo.ai is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Tech Lead to join our engineering team in Tel Aviv. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and scaling our core backend services, ensuring the robustness, performance, and scalability of our AI-powered platform.

You will lead a talented team of backend engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and architectural oversight. Responsibilities include defining technical roadmaps, making critical design decisions, ensuring code quality through reviews, and driving best practices in software development. You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and AI researchers to translate complex requirements into efficient and innovative backend solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and a passion for building high-quality, resilient software.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer, with at least 2 years in a Tech Lead capacity. Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks like FastAPI is essential, along with extensive experience building and deploying microservices on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Expertise in designing scalable and highly available distributed systems, working with various databases (SQL, NoSQL), and a solid understanding of data pipelines, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes are required.
